In 1995, Cuero voters approved a dedicated sales tax to fund the Cuero Development Corporation (CDC), a Type B municipal corporation, which allows us to receive sales tax remittance. The CDC works to provide economic services to those interested in starting up, relocating, or expanding a business to Cuero, Texas. We are dedicated to the promotion, enhancement, and development of economic growth in the community.
President
Term: February 2019 – February 2027
Tyler is a 2004 Cuero High School graduate and a 2007 University of Texas-Austin graduate. He is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Downtown Cuero. He is married to Melissa, a school teacher, and has two children, Addison and Austin.
Vice President
Term: February 2022 – February 2028
Lynn moved to Cuero in 2016 to take on the role of CEO of Cuero Regional Hospital. Lynn has over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration. Lynn also serves on the TORCH Board and the AHA Rural Health Services Committee. Lynn and her husband Jeff have two daughters, Kelsey and Kyra.

Ben Zimmerman is an attorney at Zimmermann Firm. He was raised in Cuero and graduated from Cuero High School in 2004. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary's University School of Law. Ben is proudly married to Samantha and together they have three daughters, Isla Mae, Cora, and Halle.
Secretary/Treasurer
Term: July 2023 – July 2027
Constance Donels grew up in Cuero, graduating from Cuero High School, and later from the University of Texas at Austin. After retiring from Pioneer Natural Resources in 2019, she decided to move back home to Cuero. Now, Constance is the Human Resource Manager for Studio Built by Amherst. She is also on the Board of the Golden Crescent Workforce Solutions, representing DeWitt County. She has 2 adult children (Adam & Jane), one grandchild and another grandbaby on the way.

Brad Kocurek is an Architect & Associate at RMA Architects. He grew up in Cuero, attended St. Michael's Catholic School until 8th grade, and graduated from Cuero High School in 2001. Brad holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture both from Texas A&M University. He is married to Emily and together they have two sons, Frank Allen and Logan.
Mayor
Term: Ends upon completion of current Mayoral term
Emil is a retired United States Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant and a retired Texas Department of Criminal Justice Assistant Warden. Emil has served on the Green Dewitt Drainage District Board of Directors, he is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Emil has been on the Cuero City council for 5 years and was sworn in as Cuero's Mayor in May 2024.
